GoConnect Community Guidelines

I. Respect Each Other
1. Harassment & Cyberbullying
Do not promote, coordinate, or engage in harassment. We do not allow any type of harassing behavior, including sexual harassment, ban evasion, or coordinating "Circle raids." Repeated unwanted contact or insults will result in immediate action.
2. Threats of Harm
Do not threaten to harm another individual or group of people. This includes direct, indirect, and suggestive threats. We take all threats of violence seriously and may report credible threats to local authorities.
3. Protection of Personal Data (Doxxing)
GDPR Strict Policy: Do not share or threaten to share the personally identifiable information (PII) of an individual without explicit consent. This includes real names, addresses, or private photos. Facilitating "doxxing" is a severe violation of EU privacy rights.
4. Hate Speech
Do not use hate speech or engage in hateful conduct. We define hate speech as any form of expression that attacks or promotes hatred against people based on protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability).
Note: Denial of historical genocides or atrocities is strictly prohibited under European law.
5. Violent Extremism
Do not organize, promote, or support violent extremism. This includes glorifying violence or promoting conspiracy theories that incite violence. We comply with EU Regulation 2021/784 regarding terrorist content online.
6. Child Safety (CSAM)
We have a mandatory reporting obligation. Do not upload, share, or solicit content depicting Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). We report all instances to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and relevant Europol authorities immediately.
7. Self-Harm & Suicide
Do not share content that glorifies, promotes, or normalizes suicide or physical self-harm. If you encounter such content, report it immediately so we can provide resources to the user in need.
8. Age-Restricted Content
GoConnect is a platform for builders, but if adult content is shared, it must be in an Age-Restricted Circle. Do not make sexually explicit content available to anyone under 18. Non-consensual intimate media (revenge porn) is illegal and strictly banned.
II. Respect GoConnect
9. Spam & Platform Manipulation
Do not send unsolicited bulk messages (spam). Do not use scripts, "user-bots," or automated tools to artificially inflate Circle membership or engagement metrics.
10. Data Scraping
You may not scrape data from GoConnect for the purpose of training AI models or compiling user databases without express written consent from GoConnect and the users involved.
11. Misinformation
Do not share false or misleading information that can lead to significant risk of physical or societal harm. We may remove content that obstructs civic processes or endangers public health.
12. Malware & Phishing
Do not compromise the security of any account or network. Phishing, distribution of malware, ransomware, or any tool intended to breach security is prohibited.
13. Fraud & Scams
Do not use GoConnect to promote or execute financial scams, Ponzi schemes, or "pump and dump" schemes.
III. Follow Applicable Laws
14. Intellectual Property
Respect the work of other builders. Do not share content that violates anyone's intellectual property rights, including pirated software, leaked source code, or game cheats. We comply with the EU Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market.
15. Regulated & Dangerous Goods
Do not use GoConnect to sell or facilitate the sale of regulated goods (drugs, firearms, explosives) or counterfeit items.
16. Illegal Gambling
Do not coordinate or participate in illegal gambling activities. Users are responsible for complying with the gambling laws of their jurisdiction.
IV. DSA Rights & Enforcement
Right to Appeal (DSA)
Under the Digital Services Act, if we remove your content or suspend your account, you have the right to receive a statement of reasons. You may appeal this decision through our internal complaint-handling system for up to 6 months following the decision.
Reporting Violations
If you see a violation, please report it immediately via the app or email. We protect the identity of reporters in accordance with GDPR.
